On February 14, 2020 The Skolkovo Technopark hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Polyethylene Pipes – Prospects for Development”. The event was organized by Gazprom StroyTEK Salavat JSC and METACLAY JSC.

Representatives of more than sixty companies from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka took part in the conference. They included the heads of Gazprom PJSC, MINPROMTORG, INTERGAZSERT, about forty pipe plants from all over Russia and other organizations representing the interests of the industry. It was the first time so many polymer pipe manufacturers gathered at one site.

Within the business program of the conference, participants received up-to-date information on modern innovative solutions, learned about problems, plans and projects for further industry development from representatives of the market, commodity producers, customers, and heads of major production companies.

During the Conference, several round tables were held for discussions and visits were made to test and production sites and polymer laboratories located at the Skolkovo Technopark.

Some innovative products of METACLAY JSC for production of polyethylene pipes were presented at the event including non-combustible flame retardant for production of multilayer pipes under GOST R IEC 61386-2014, METALENTA – fiberglass material for structural reinforcement of polymer pipes, and polymer modifying additives (binding agents) which allow adding secondary polymers, various mineral fillers and fiberglass without impairment of properties of the finished product.
