Every three years more than three thousand companies meet in Dusseldorf at Plastics and Rubber Industry exhibition – the industry's most significant event where leading manufacturers from 60 countries present their innovations.

Recycling and waste-free production were the main topics of K 2019. The largest market players discussed the industry development opportunities, key trends and the course for the future. This year, the key topics for discussion included environmentally friendly sustainable polymers as an alternative to traditional plastic, innovations in production processes, raw and auxiliary materials.

At the exhibition, METACLAY JSC presented polyethylene anti-corrosion exterior monolayer coating based on Metalen PE-21, sandwich panels with ATP tape and protective fiberglass coating Kolchuga ("Chain Mail") which protects anti-corrosion coating of pipes from mechanical damage when both trench and trenchless laying methods are used. Advanced production of reinforced thermoplastic tape (ATP tape) has been created to produce the coating. The company also demonstrated BIO plugs based on a composition of high density secondary polyethylene and nano-additives. When exposed to ultraviolet radiation, the plug turns into powder due to the organic additives it contains, which helps to reduce negative effects on the environment.
