METACLAY Group of Companies presents the technology of peroxide cross-linkable polyethylene for cable insulation at Startup Bazaar at the Startup Village 2018 conference, which takes place from May 31 to June 1 at the Skolkovo Innovation Center.

Peroxide-crosslinkable polyethylene (TR-XLPE) for insulation of medium voltage cables allows to increase networks shelf life.

Today, peroxide compounds are produced only by foreign companies. METACLAY Russian technology consists of only one main stage due to the direct mixing of peroxide in a polymer melt. This innovation will provide a better price and better quality of peroxide cross-linkable composition than European counterparts. Production start is scheduled for 2019.

Another advantage of the project is import substitution. It should be noted that this is a full cycle of import substitution, because METAKLAY peroxide-crosslinkable polyethylene technology is calculated on domestic raw materials. Production within the borders of the ruble economy, without currency risks, will also give its advantages to Russian buyers - cable plants.
