On March 3, Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz took part in the opening ceremony of METACLAY JSC production line in Karachev. The chairman of the Bryansk regional Duma Vladimir Popkov, the director general of the nonprofit organization "Fund for development of single-industry towns" Ilya Krivogov, the head of the projects department of the Industrial Development Fund Pavel Taratorin, the representative of Gazprom gas-power network Dmitry Mironov, the State Duma deputy Victor Malashenko, executive power of the region, deputies of the regional Duma also took part in the ceremony.

METACLAY JSC was created five years ago as the country's first manufacturer of innovative nanopolymers. The main shareholder of the company until mid-2015 was Rusnano LLC. Since December 2015, the new shareholder of the plant was PJSC Gazprom. Today it is also the main supplier of raw materials for manufacture, and the customer of the products. The new line is intended for the manufacture of polymer compositions for the anticorrosion coating of steel pipes.
